A pronoun which demonstrates a noun, an object, a complement, etc., is called a demonstrative pronoun. In other words, the pronouns which describe or modify a thing or a person are called demonstrative pronouns. They can be both singular and plural.

The demonstrative pronouns are this, that, these, and those.
